Behind the fridge

A loud little brewhouse by the river

Stainless steel fermenting tanks and a brewhouse platform in a tall bright hall with factory windows

Eight steel fermenters, a 15-barrel brewhouse and a canning line that sounds like a pinball machine. Dolores writes the hazy recipes, Benny runs the dark side, and every hop comes from farms within two hours of Kalamazoo.

We can on Tuesdays, chill everything to three degrees and ship it the same week — so the beer in your fridge tastes like the beer at our bar.

Where do you deliver?

Anywhere in Michigan the next day for $8, free over $60. Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin take two days for $14. Everything ships in an insulated box with ice bricks.

How fresh is it?

We can on Tuesdays and ship Tuesday to Thursday, so most cans reach you less than ten days old. The canning date is printed on the base.

Do I need to be home?

Yes, or have another adult there — the driver checks a photo ID showing you are 21 or over before handing the box over. Missed boxes go back to the depot for two days.

What if a can arrives dented or warm?

Send us a photo within seven days and we replace it in your next box or refund it, your choice.

Can I mix beers in one box?

Always. Any packs, any families, one delivery charge per box. Up to 48 cans fit in one box.

Is there a subscription?

There is the monthly Wobble Dozen: a mixed case of new and favourite beers for $64, skip or cancel any month from your email.

The taproom pours every beer on the wall straight from the tank, plus the experiments that never make it into a can. 419 Harrow Mill Lane, Kalamazoo.
